MDP have a number of specialist units, and you can find out more about each in the following pages. As a new recruit during initial training, you may have the chance to tell us if you’d like to work your way up the ranks in armed operational specialist units such as the Tactical Firearms Unit (TFU), Marine Policing and so on. Depending on your suitability and assessment, it could mean long-term career development for you as you learn lots of new skills and gain invaluable experience.
