Celebrating Diversity: MDP attend the CASEASA 20th Anniversary Celebration
The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) was proudly represented at the Metropolitan Police Chinese and South East Asian Staff Association (CASEASA) 20th Anniversary Celebration held at New Scotland Yard. MDP Constable Ho attended the event, marking a significant milestone in cross-force collaboration and diversity initiatives within UK police services.
CASEASA, recently rebranded as the Asian and Pacific Staff Association, aims to:
- Improve representation within the Metropolitan Police to better reflect the diverse communities it serves.
- Promote understanding of Chinese and South East Asian customs, culture, and values.
- Serve as a resource for all UK police services on cultural matters.
PC Ho’s attendance builds upon 5 years of previous collaborations with CASEASA, including involvement in Lunar New Year festivals. These engagements have fostered strong, positive relationships between the MDP, Metropolitan Police colleagues, and local communities.
The benefits of such collaborations go beyond the festivities. They bring valuable professional development opportunities, helping officers improve their cultural understanding while enhancing community trust. By working together, UK police services are building a more inclusive, representative force—one that reflects the diverse communities they serve.
